Philanthropy
Tri Delta’s chosen philanthropy is Children’s Cancer Charities. In conjunction with this effort, Tri Delta enjoys a partnership of the heart with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tri Delta’s philanthropy allows chapters and members to choose to support a local project like children’s hospital or a cancer camp and to support the efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Whatever the choice, Tri Deltas are joining together to offer financial and volunteer contributions to the research and treatment of children with cancer. Together Tri Delta is making a difference.
In 2004 Delta Delta Delta Nationally made an agreement with St. Jude to raise $10 million in 10 years, becoming the largest committment by any greek organization. But because our progress was coming along so well, in 2007 Tri Delta changed the committment from $10 million in 10 years, to $10 million dollars by the year 2010. Tri Delta met the $10 million dollar pledge four years ahead of schedule. The newest goal for members of Tri Delta? $15 million in 5 years and we are well on our way!
Here at Baker University, we as Tri Delta's host many events to raise money for St. Jude. We have an annual Chili Feed where we partner with Chili's in Topeka, KS and sell chili before a football game. We also hold a car wash, face painting at the Maple Leaf festival and Sincerely Yours - a letter writing campaign.

The Teen Room is a haven for patients to get away from parents, nurses, and doctors and be with kids their own age. It is equipped with Internet, video games, stereos, games and many lounging areas that teenagers love.
